Islamabad, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain recently visited the main hospital serving Pakistani pilgrims in Makkah to evaluate its operations and services.
According to Press Information Department, Hussain was briefed by Brigadier Jameel Lakhir, Head of the Hajj Medical Mission, on the hospital’s various departments and the medical services provided to the pilgrims. The minister toured the facility’s critical areas including the ambulance service, laboratory, x-ray department, pharmacy, and both male and female wards, as well as the dental department.
He interacted with pilgrims receiving medical care, advising them on maintaining health during their pilgrimage by suggesting a balanced diet and the use of hydrating drinks and umbrellas to combat the heat.
