Religious Affairs Minister Condemns Violence in Gaza

Islamabad, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Aneeq Ahmed, has voiced profound sorrow over the loss of four thousand Palestinian lives in the Gaza Strip and strongly denounced the ongoing Israeli actions.

According to a news release by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, while speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad, Ahmed called for an immediate halt to what he termed Israel’s “barbaric aggression.” He conveyed that the Muslim community, inclusive of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, anticipates the global community’s intervention to curb the alleged war crimes by Israel.

Ahmed further urged Muslims globally to organize peaceful protest demonstrations outside Israeli embassies and consulates, signaling their collective disapproval. Additionally, he emphasized the necessity for unity within the Muslim community, urging them to resist elements that sow division and sectarianism.
