Relief from Heat Expected as Rainfall Predicted Across Balochistan

Quetta: The Regional Meteorological Center Balochistan forecasts a break from the prevailing hot and humid conditions starting Friday evening, with anticipated heavy rainfall across multiple districts including Doab, Shirani, and Quetta over the weekend. Thunderstorms are also expected throughout the province, promising some respite from the recent extreme temperatures.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the weather is set to remain hot and humid in most districts on Tuesday, with strong winds expected in areas like Quetta and Chagai during the evening. There is also a potential for scattered thunderstorms in Barkhan, Musa Khel, Lasbela, and Hub. Wednesday will continue to see hot conditions, but the coming days will bring significant changes with the forecasted rain.

The last 24 hours have seen particularly high temperatures across the region, with Sabi, Dalbandin, and Nokundi reaching up to 47°C. Barkhan received the most rainfall recently, measuring 4.0 mm. This upcoming shift in weather could provide much-needed relief to the residents and farmers of Balochistan.
