Islamabad, July 09, 2022 (PPI-OT):Former Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter Muhammad Farooq Rehman has congratulated the Muslim brethren on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha.
Muhammad Farooq Rehman in a statement in Islamabad said the followers of the last Messenger Muhammad (SAW) were certainly fortunate to have accepted Islam as revealed upon one after another Messenger of Allah, and finally completed under the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), upon whom not only was revealed Quran, but His Last Khutbah Haj, became commanding and directing principles and threshold for the Muslims till the Day of Judgment.
He lamented that despite creation of United Nations Organisation in 1945, today’s humanity was under the cruel suppression of exploiting leadership of imperialists, neo colonialists, capilists, fuedalists (wearing new garbs), and in some independent Muslim countries, Islam’s social and economic system was not followed, lip service was paid to Islam and Islam’s name was exploited by brazen faced power-hungry or ruling classes for their political and economic ends.
On the other side, he said, Muslim religious and political organisations have failed to address the burning social, religious, cultural problems of the Muslims and have not brought an end to exploitation of people by powerful elites and their corruption. Both Kashmir and Palestine as two freedom fighting nations are under threat of losing their land, culture and majority character so speedily in such modern times of call for justice and human rights, he added.
Farooq Rehmani said that in its worst form, India the most repressive fascist Hindutva regime, was to wipe out 25 crore Muslim population by enacting new laws of citizenship to declare India land of only Hindus and Hindu faith.
He said that the message of Eid is message of peace, social and economic justice and respect for human rights and political, economic freedom and under the Charter of the UN and other world forums of Europe, Asia and Africa, it is binding on all irrespective of cast, creed and nationality to listen to clarion call of the oppressed nations of the world and release them of the many shackles of political, economic and social, racial nature and stigma.
