Registration Underway for Newly-Elected National Assembly Members

Islamabad, The registration process for the newly elected members of Pakistan’s National Assembly is currently ongoing, with a special Facilitation Center established at the National Assembly Secretariat for this purpose. This process is a prerequisite for the members to participate in the legislative body’s upcoming sessions.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the registration of new members and the issuance of their identification cards are essential steps that must be completed before the National Assembly’s opening session. The Speaker of the National Assembly has urged all newly elected representatives to finalize their registration promptly to ensure their participation in the inaugural session.

The establishment of the Facilitation Center and the emphasis on completing the registration process underscore the importance of a smooth transition and the readiness of the National Assembly to embark on its legislative duties. This procedural step is crucial for the functionality of the National Assembly and the representation of the Pakistani electorate.
