Reforms being made in BISP to facilitate poor people: Kundi

Islamabad, March 09, 2023 (PPI-OT): Minister of State for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Faisal Karim Kundi says reforms are being made in Benazir Income Support Program to facilitate maximum deserving people. He expressed these views while talking to media persons after inaugurating Dynamic Registry Center under the BISP at Shujaabad area in Multan. The Minister of State said about 8.9 million women are availing financial assistance under this program.

He said taking into account the economic conditions of the people, the government has increased the quarterly instalment of BISP by 25 percent. After the increase, an instalment of 8750 rupees will be given to the deserving families every three months.
