Recruitment of Constables in Excise and Taxation Department Continues Under Punjab Police Supervision

Lahore: The recruitment process for constables in the Excise and Taxation Department, supervised by Punjab Police, is currently ongoing.

According to Punjab Police, recruitment boards comprising Punjab Police and Excise and Taxation officers are administering physical and written tests for candidates. SSP Telecommunications Ali Zia serves as the chairman of the recruitment board in Lahore, while District Police Officers (DPOs) lead recruitment boards in other districts.

A total of 124 candidates who successfully pass the physical and written examinations will be appointed as Excise and Taxation constables. The recruitment tests are being conducted in various cities, including Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Gujranwala, and Rawalpindi, with additional processes taking place in Attock, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.

The running and fitness evaluations concluded on January 1, 2025, and physical measurements are scheduled to be taken from January 2 to January 4. The written tests and their results are expected to be finalized between January 5 and January 7. The recruitment boards will announce the results in consultation with the Directors of Excise and Taxation.

The Inspector General of Punjab has instructed all officers to closely oversee the recruitment process, emphasizing the importance of maintaining merit and transparency. Video recordings are mandated at all stages to ensure fairness, and robust security measures have been implemented throughout the recruitment process.
