Jammu: The Amarnath cave pilgrimage commenced with significant participation, as over 28,000 pilgrims from various regions of India visited the sacred site within the first two days. The journey to the cave began from the dual paths of Baltal and Nunwan-Pahalgam in the region known as Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, an official reported that a total of 28,534 yatris had visited the cave, with an additional 6,461 pilgrims departing from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp in Jammu to join the pilgrimage. The official also confirmed that comprehensive preparations were in place to ensure the smooth and orderly progression of the yatra, reflecting the high organizational standards set to manage the large influx of devotees.
