Record Number of Driving Licenses Issued in Punjab under IG’s Supervision

Karachi, In a remarkable development, the Punjab Police reported that more than 2 lakh driving licenses were issued to citizens across the province yesterday, marking a significant increase from the previous year. The achievement comes under the effective supervision of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar.

According to Punjab Police, this surge represents a 2500% increase compared to last year’s figures. A substantial number of these licenses, 123,202, were obtained through the online system, while 76,952 were issued via various offices, service centers, and other centers under the traffic police licensing system.

IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has directed Additional IG Traffic Mirza Faran Baig to personally oversee the license issuance process. Emphasizing compliance with rules and regulations, Dr. Anwar instructed that driving licenses should be made available to as many citizens as possible. He also emphasized the importance of providing the best service delivery to citizens at all centers, including traffic police offices and service centers.

This initiative reflects Punjab Police’s commitment to enhancing administrative efficiency and public service delivery in the province.
