Srinagar, September 14, 2021 (PPI-OT): Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir has said that Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a Karbala-like situation as a result of Narendra Modi government’s Hindutva policies, which are aimed at attacking the religion, identity, civilization and culture of the Kashmiris.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami Bandipora organized a one-day session titled “Yum Hussain (RA)” in Nogam area of the district, which discussed the current deteriorating situation in the occupied territory.
In their speeches on the occasion, speakers highlighted the similarities between the Karbala incident and the struggle for the rights of Kashmiris and said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are on pursuing the same path to truthfulness and righteousness that was followed by Imam Hussain (RA) against the oppressors of his time.
They said that the real agenda of Modi’s fascist government was to turn Jammu and Kashmir into a Hindu state. In order to thwart the nefarious plans of the Indian government against Kashmiris, it was necessary for us to further strengthen unity and harmony in our ranks and filed, they urged.
The speakers asked Kashmiri scholars, preachers and imams to guide the nation in the light of the Holy Qur’an in this battle of truth and disbelief and teach people to stand firm against falsehood. They said that through mutual unity, solidarity and brotherhood we can thwart the evil plans of the Modi regime.
At the end of the session, rich tributes were paid to the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the great Hurriyat Quaid Syed Ali Gilani, the shining star of Tehreek-e-Azadi, Shaikh Tajammul-ul-Islam and the prayers were offered for speedy liberation of Jammu and Kashmir from Indian occupation. Besides others, the session was attended by Fayyaz Ahmed, Moulvi Bashir Ahmed, Maulana Abrar Kashmiri and Moulvi Muhammad Ismail.
