Islamabad, A comprehensive seminar organized by the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s Green Pakistan Initiative is set to take place at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University in Rawalpindi this Tuesday. The event aims to engage and educate participants about the Plant for Pakistan project and its role in environmental conservation.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the seminar will focus on involving the youth in the project, which encompasses a range of themes such as ecosystem restoration, combating climate change, promoting plantation activities, reducing water wastage, and mobilizing community involvement. Experts in forestry, agriculture, and livestock have been invited to provide insights and share knowledge on Pakistan’s land structure and forests.
The event will also see the launch of the Plant for Pakistan app, a new tool designed to facilitate greater participation in the nation’s reforestation efforts. The seminar represents a significant effort by the government to promote environmental awareness and action among the younger generation, aligning with broader goals of sustainability and ecological responsibility.
