Rawalpindi Celebrates Traders for Tax Compliance Under Tajir Dost Scheme

Rawalpindi, The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Rawalpindi held a ceremony today to honor the first four traders who have registered under the Tajir Dost Scheme, a new initiative by the Federal Board of Revenue aimed at increasing tax compliance and formalizing the informal economy.

According to Federal Board of Revenue, the event marked a significant step in the RTO’s efforts to promote a culture of compliance within the business community. Ms. Tehmina Aamer, Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, awarded registration certificates to the traders, praising them as ambassadors for their proactive engagement with the scheme. She emphasized the importance of the traders’ roles in encouraging their peers to participate in the scheme, thereby enhancing accountability and compliance.

The ceremony also recognized the efforts of District Tax Officers and their teams in implementing the scheme. The RTO, Rawalpindi, reaffirms its commitment to support and facilitate traders in their journey toward full compliance with national tax regulations.
