Karachi: Minister of State Shiza Fatima and Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri distributed ration bags to thousands of beneficiaries. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support needy families in the region.

According to Sindh Governor House, the distribution event is a commendable initiative under the Governor’s Initiative, aimed at providing relief to those in need. Minister Shiza Fatima highlighted that the program offers peace of mind to families struggling to support their children. Governor Tesuri emphasized that for the past two years, ration bags have been distributed daily to thousands of deserving individuals. He reported that more than 850,000 people have benefited from the program to date, with efforts ongoing.

The Governor also noted that the Governor House has implemented several measures to assist those in need. During Eid-ul-Adha, sacrificial meat is distributed, and children of individuals who lost their lives in street crimes have received goats for sacrifice. Governor Tesuri mentioned that while these gestures cannot replace the loss of a father, they provide some relief. He emphasized the importance of supporting individuals affected by inflation and poverty as a continuous charitable effort, which is considered pleasing to Allah.
