Islamabad: Rana Ihsan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Industries, has outlined the government’s proposed judicial reforms aimed at empowering the judiciary and expediting justice in Pakistan. The reforms are designed to address long-standing issues, including the significant backlog of cases that have burdened the courts for decades.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Rana Ihsan, in an interview with a private news channel, emphasized that the primary goal of these reforms is to ensure swift justice. He noted that the initiative to strengthen the judiciary falls within the purview of Parliament, highlighting the legislative process as essential for these changes.
