Islamabad, The moon marking the start of the holy month of Ramadan has been sighted in Pakistan, and the first fast will be observed on Tuesday. This announcement marks the commencement of a month dedicated to fasting, prayer, and reflection for Muslims across the nation.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the sighting of the Ramadan crescent was confirmed by the Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, during a press conference in Peshawar. The confirmation ushers in a period of spiritual significance and community for the Islamic population in Pakistan.

On this occasion, Maulana Azad called for unity among the populace to collectively contribute to the nation’s progress. His message highlighted the importance of cohesion and harmony, especially during a month that emphasizes community and charitable acts among adherents of Islam.
