Muzaffarabad, August 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Hurriyat AJK leaders and Kashmiri migrants held anti-India rallies in Muzaffarabad and several other cities of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to mark India’s Independence Day as Black Day. A large number of people attended the rallies. One such event was held at Central Press Club in Muzaffarabad.
Participants chanted slogans in favour of freedom. Speaking on the occasion, speakers asked how India could celebrate its Independence Day when it has deprived the entire population of occupied Jammu and Kashmir of their freedom and political, social, religious and human rights.
The speakers said that the Kashmiri people never recognized India’s military occupation nor its sovereignty. They said that India should know that its illegal military occupation of Jammu and Kashmir has to end and Kashmir can never be a part of India. They called on the United Nations and the Security Council to hold a free, fair and impartial referendum in the territory by annulling India’s illegal actions of August 5, 2019.
Secretary Kashmir Liberation Cell Aijaz Ahmad Lone, AJK Hurriyat leader Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, Mushtaqul Islam, Director Kashmir Liberation Cell Raja Muhammad Aslam, and others attended the rally. Anti-India rallies were also held in Neelum, Kotli, Rawalakote, Mirpure and other areas of AJK which were attended by local administration and a large number of citizens.
