Jammu, Residents of Rajouri district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir staged a protest against ongoing electricity disruptions. The demonstration highlighted the community’s frustration with the continuous power outages, despite the collection of substantial electricity bills.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest, which saw participation from locals, social, and political activists, was organized at the Old Bus Stand in Rajouri. The demonstrators voiced their concerns over the severe power crisis impacting the normalcy of life in the area.
The protesters emphasized that while scheduled electricity curtailments were manageable, the primary issue plaguing the region is the frequent unscheduled power cuts. They expressed their demand for a reliable and consistent electricity supply and called for an immediate resolution to the unscheduled interruptions in power.
This protest underscores the challenges faced by the residents of Rajouri district and represents a broader issue of infrastructure and service delivery in the region.
