Rahul Gandhi Vows to Defend Constitution, Challenges Modi’s Policies in Uttar Pradesh Rally

Lucknow, At a pivotal election rally in Bansgaon, Uttar Pradesh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reinforced his commitment to the Indian constitution, criticizing the current government’s policies and promising significant changes if the INDIA bloc attains power. Gandhi’s remarks highlighted a staunch defense of constitutional values and proposed an end to the 50% cap on reservations, aiming to expand opportunities for marginalized communities.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during his speech alongside Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Gandhi positioned the INDIA bloc as the protector of the constitution against adversaries he claimed are intent on undermining it. He passionately stated that the bloc would defend the constitution with “heart, life, and blood,” illustrating the gravity of their commitment.

Gandhi also targeted the Modi government’s Agnipath recruitment scheme, pledging to dismantle it due to its controversial contractual nature and lack of long-term benefits for recruits. Furthermore, he criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks about divine endorsement, humorously suggesting that Modi was sent by God to benefit industrialist Gautam Adani, not the impoverished. This comment underscores Gandhi’s critique of the perceived closeness between the Modi administration and certain industrial sectors.
