Rahul Gandhi Demands Modi Apologize for Associating with Accused Lok Sabha Member

New Delhi, In a vehement address at an election rally in Shivamogga city, Karnataka, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi called for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to issue an apology for appearing alongside a Lok Sabha member accused of sexual crimes, claiming it was an insult to the women of India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Gandhi criticized Modi for his support of Prajwal Revanna during public events, which he argued reflects poorly on the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) regard for women’s safety and rights. He asserted that Modi, alongside Home Minister Amit Shah and other BJP leaders, owed an apology to the nation, particularly to women, for their association with Revanna, who has faced significant accusations of sexual exploitation.

Gandhi also took the opportunity to denounce the BJP’s broader political strategies, accusing the party of abandoning principles in pursuit of power. He highlighted recent controversial remarks by BJP national president J.P. Nadda about the Constitution, calling for Nadda’s resignation and demanding Modi’s direct response to the issue.

The rally was a significant show of force from the Congress party, with key figures like Mallikarjun Kharge and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in attendance, underscoring the party’s commitment to challenging what they see as moral and ethical violations by the BJP.
