New Delhi, In a striking critique delivered amidst the political fervor of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of attempting to establish a financial monopoly in India through the use of investigative agencies. This statement was made during the release of the Congress party’s manifesto in New Delhi, where Gandhi also expressed skepticism about the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) electoral prospects.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Gandhi leveraged the occasion to highlight what he perceives as a strategic maneuver by Modi, alongside the BJP and RSS, to dominate the political finance landscape via the Enforcement Directorate, Central Bureau of Investigation, and Income Tax Department. He drew parallels between the alleged monopolies held by billionaire Gautam Adani in various sectors and Modi’s political financing strategies, suggesting a systematic approach to consolidating financial and political control.
