Rahul Gandhi Accuses Modi of Favoring Tycoons at the Expense of Ordinary Indians

New Delhi: In a vehement critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in India, charged that Modi has colluded with business moguls like Adani and Ambani to dismantle the nation’s employment framework and undermine constitutional principles.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Gandhi’s allegations were made during a rally in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, where he spotlighted the economic disparities facilitated by government policies. He asserted that Modi’s government has created a system that benefits a select few, enabling extravagant spending on events like weddings while the average farmer struggles under the burden of debt.

“Narendra Modi ji has made such a structure under which the selected 25 people can spend crores on weddings, but a farmer can organize a wedding only after drowning in debt. If this is not an attack on the Constitution, then what is?” Gandhi posed to his audience.

Gandhi contrasted the lavish wedding expenses of Ambani’s youngest son with the financial hardships faced by farmers, criticizing Modi for waiving loans worth billions of rupees for billionaires while neglecting farmers and students. He argued that such actions constitute an assault on the Constitution.

This address marks another instance in Gandhi’s ongoing critique of Modi’s close ties with prominent industrialists, whom he accuses of monopolizing the country’s wealth through government-favored policies. Gandhi’s previous statements in parliament referred to Adani and Ambani as “A1 and A2,” claiming they control significant aspects of India’s economy.

The congress leader’s comments come as he campaigns in Haryana, highlighting what he perceives as systemic injustices that need rectification for the broader welfare of India’s populace.
