Quetta Polio Workers Martyred During Campaign Honored with Relief Checks

Quetta: Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of Quetta, Muhammad Anwar Kakar, honored the martyred officers of the recent polio campaign, describing them as the nation’s real heroes whose sacrifices will not be forgotten. Kakar addressed the public during a ceremony where relief checks were distributed to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives in the line of duty, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to eradicating polio and ensuring the safety of campaign workers.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Kakar highlighted the extensive measures being implemented to eliminate polio, including comprehensive planning for the protection of teams and personnel involved in the campaign. He acknowledged the profound impact of the martyred workers’ sacrifices, stating, “Thanks to the sacrifices of these heroes, today we have reached the end of polio.” He reassured that the government would continue to take all necessary actions to completely eradicate the disease.

The event not only served to provide financial support to the affected families but also to reaffirm the government’s dedication to the complete eradication of polio, honoring those who have given their lives in this public health battle.
