Quetta Leaders Discuss Enhancements through Public-Private Partnerships

Quetta: Provincial leaders convened at a Public Private Partnership Board meeting to advance significant development projects designed to alleviate traffic issues and boost employment through strategic partnerships. Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Noshirwani and Provincial Planning and Development Minister Zahoor Ahmed Bilidi led the session, focusing on initiatives set to reshape Kohta and Quetta’s infrastructure.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Minister Noshirwani highlighted the government’s commitment to leveraging every available resource to improve living conditions through public-private collaborations. Notable projects discussed include the activation of a plaza on Circular Road and the construction of a new building on the site of the old Mutton Market in Quetta, aimed at resolving long-standing traffic and parking issues while providing job opportunities.

The discussions also covered the implementation of the Chaman Master Plan, which promises to extend employment opportunities to the local populace. Minister Noshirwani underscored the necessity for projects initiated under these partnerships to be reviewed and approved by the Secretary of Finance, ensuring they align with the fiscal capabilities and regulations of the provincial treasury.
