Quetta: In preparation for the upcoming Eid-ul-Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations, a comprehensive meeting was held to discuss security and logistical arrangements for the processions and gatherings. The meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Quetta Lieutenant (r) Saad bin Asad, was attended by a wide array of officials including the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Quetta, SP Security, FC Officers, and representatives from various municipal and health departments.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the Deputy Commissioner received a detailed briefing about the procession routes during the meeting. To ensure public safety and health, a series of orders were issued including the deployment of ambulances and the organization of a medical camp at Meezan Chowk by the health department. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has also been directed to prepare ambulances for all routes.
To facilitate the processions, the Metropolitan Corporation will install lighting and ensure the cleanliness of all routes. Additionally, there will be no load shedding at monasteries and places of congregation during the three days of Majlis, as instructed to KESCO.
Security measures will be stringent with police and FC officials providing foolproof security and patrolling various routes. Walk-through gates will be installed at main route entries, and the WASA department is tasked with supplying water to all Majlis via water tankers.
The Anjuman Tajran will supervise the processions and during these times, shops in Kandahari Bazar, Liaquat Bazar, Meezan Chowk, and Abdul Sattar Road will be sealed. District administration teams, including assistant commissioners and magistrates, will oversee the processions to ensure smooth conduct.
Additionally, mobile signals will be temporarily halted in Quetta on the 17th of 12 Rabi Aul to further secure the event. An emergency will be declared in key hospitals including the civil hospital, BMC hospital, and Benazir hospital, with all medical staff required to be on duty. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of reflecting on the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa, highlighting his message of peace, tolerance, and hard work as a guiding principle for humanity.
