Quetta, The Pakistan Chest Society Center and its Balochistan Chapter marked World Asthma Day with various activities, including a significant seminar at the Fatima Jinnah Institute of Chest Diseases, drawing a substantial turnout of medical professionals.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the seminar was opened by Senior Pulmonologist Dr. Syed Abdul Waheed Shah who outlined the goals of the event. The session featured a notable research presentation by Pulmonology Resident Dr. Anam, focusing on asthma diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
General Secretary of the Pakistan Chest Society Center, Dr. Maqbool Ahmad Longo, also delivered a crucial talk on recent advancements in asthma treatment, addressing challenges and key issues in the field. The event was further enriched with an asthma quiz, with Chief Executive and Senior Chest Specialist Dr. Shireen Khan distributing awards to the winners. The day concluded with an awareness walk to further educate and engage the community on asthma management and prevention.
