Quetta: A crucial meeting was held to assess the progress of the Chief Minister Youth Skills Development Program, chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti. The meeting, attended by top provincial officials, aimed to expedite the finalization of the program which seeks to send skilled youths abroad by the end of October.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the review meeting saw attendance from key figures including Adviser to Chief Minister on Labor and Manpower Sardar Ghulam Rasool Imrani, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, and other notable authorities. The discussions focused on the achievements of the program and the necessary steps to be taken to ensure its success. Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized the importance of swift finalization of the program, highlighting the urgency to send the first batch of skilled youths abroad as scheduled.
The meeting detailed the Chief Minister’s directives to ensure that the institutions selected for executing the program must guarantee job provision with international certification for every participant. This mandate aims to prevent any difficulties for the youths of Balochistan when they reach abroad. Chief Minister Bugti stressed the importance of fairness and meritocracy in the selection process, ensuring an equitable distribution of opportunities across all districts.
Further, Chief Minister Bugti remarked on the significance of the Youth Skills Development Program as a landmark project for the province’s future, focusing on harnessing positive skills of the youth to secure employment abroad. He firmly stated that no corruption or biased recommendations would be tolerated in the program, which is set to provide thousands of youths with honorable employment opportunities internationally, thereby contributing to Pakistan’s economy through substantial foreign exchange remittances.
The Chief Minister reassured that the necessary resources for the program’s implementation would be made available, underlining the provincial government’s commitment to the economic stabilization and development of Balochistan’s youth.
