Quetta: In a significant stride towards enhancing local infrastructure and public amenities, a review meeting was held in Quetta under the leadership of Abdul Rauf Baloch, Provincial Secretary for Local Government and Rural Development. The meeting focused on the progress of various development projects under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the fiscal years 2024-2025.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting gathered key officials, including Director General Agha Zulfiqar Shah and Chief Engineer Muhammad Rahim Qambarani, to discuss the advancement of 413 approved schemes. These projects range from eco-friendly parks designed to enhance citizen wellbeing to essential public service enhancements. Secretary Baloch emphasized the government’s commitment to completing all projects by December of this year, following the directives of Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Minister of Balochistan.

During the meeting, the emphasis was also placed on the need for efficient resource management to match the growing population demands. The local government has been directed to ensure not only the timely completion of these projects but also to uphold transparency and quality in every aspect of development.

The session concluded with a call to action by Secretary Baloch for all local government departments to swiftly implement the university plan, thereby ensuring that the benefits of the PSDP projects are soon realized by the public.
