Qila Saifullah, The Assistant Commissioner of Qila Saifullah, Saad Kaleem Zafar, who also serves as the Chairman of the Price Control Committee, has organized a significant meeting aimed at addressing economic challenges in the region, particularly focusing on the quality and pricing of food items and transport services. This initiative comes as a response to the local economic conditions and the government’s commitment to improving public welfare.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting was attended by notable local leaders including Syed Akbar Kakar, Chairman of the Municipal Committee, and Murad Khan Kakar, Deputy Chairman and In-charge of the Price Control Committee. The Assistant Commissioner emphasized the government’s priority to facilitate the residents and stressed that no compromise would be made on the quality of food items and transport services.
During the discussions, Saad Kaleem Zafar announced plans to implement a new price list to ensure that food quality is maintained at high standards. He warned that non-compliance with the new pricing regulations would lead to severe consequences, including the sealing of shops that fail to adhere to the guidelines. This measure aims to prevent exploitation and ensure that the citizens receive good quality products at fair prices.
Furthermore, the Assistant Commissioner addressed transport issues, specifically focusing on the toddy (local transport vehicle) owners. He highlighted his responsibility to adjust toddy fares in line with petrol prices and called on owners to provide safe and efficient services to the public. This includes proper vehicle loading and cooperation with government staff to avoid unnecessary traffic and potential accidents on the national highway.
The meeting concluded with participants expressing their gratitude for the proactive steps taken by the Assistant Commissioner to introduce a public-friendly price list and improve the overall quality of local services. The attendees committed to full cooperation with the government’s efforts to provide relief and better services to the people of Qila Saifullah.
