Karachi: Ambassador of Qatar, Ali Mubarak Al Khatair, met with Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesuri, at the Governor House, where they engaged in discussions on enhancing mutual interests and strengthening ties between Pakistan and Qatar. The meeting was marked by formalities, including a guard of honor for the Qatari ambassador and the hoisting of both nations’ flags on the Governor House lawn.
According to Sindh Governor House, the discussions highlighted the friendly relations between the two countries, with emphasis on improving these ties further. The Governor expressed gratitude for Qatar’s consistent support to Pakistan in challenging times and highlighted the potential for Qatari investment in Pakistan, particularly in Karachi. The ambassador’s visit included a tour of the Governor House, including a visit to Quaid-e-Azam’s room.
Governor Tesuri underscored Qatar’s interest in large-scale investment in Pakistan, mentioning the SIFC project initiated by Army Chief General Hafiz Asim Munir, which aims to facilitate investments through a streamlined, one-window operation. The governor assured that Qatari investors would be provided with guarantees and a favorable environment to ensure profitable ventures. The meeting concluded with the ambassador leaving comments in the guest book, reflecting the positive atmosphere of the meeting.
