Qalat Division Expands Utility Stores for Consumer Relief

Khuzdar, Commissioner of Qalat Division Muhammad Naeem Khan Bazai emphasized the expansion of utility stores across the division as a government priority to ensure the provision of essential goods at reasonable prices to the public. He addressed a meeting at the Commissioner’s Office focusing on increasing access to affordable consumer goods through these outlets.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Commissioner Bazai discussed the significance of utility stores in offering relief to consumers by providing food items and essential goods at subsidized rates. The meeting, which included Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Muhammad Arif, Regional Manager of Utility Stores Arbab Munir Ahmad, and other officials, highlighted ongoing efforts to broaden the reach and effectiveness of these stores.

The Regional Manager informed the attendees that the division currently operates 22 stores that consistently stock 300 types of consumer goods, ensuring availability and variety for shoppers. The Commissioner also stressed the importance of transparency and regular updates of price lists in collaboration with district administrations to enhance public trust and utility service effectiveness. Furthermore, plans were discussed to address the limited number of utility stores in the connected districts of Lasbela and Hub, ensuring that relief efforts are evenly distributed across the division.
