Lahore, November 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):Population Welfare Department Punjab organized a ceremony regarding “Strengthening Services, Access and Management of Family Program”. Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab for Population Welfare Taimur Ali Lali graced the event as Chief Guest. Director General Population Welfare Saman Rai, Director Technical Dr. Zubeda Riaz and all district officers and tehsil officers of the department also participated in the event.
A detailed briefing regarding the project was given in the ceremony. Addressing the participants on the occasion, Special Assistant Taimur Ali Lali said that the main objective of the project is to improve the working of the institute and strengthen the evaluation and monitoring system. In today’s modern era, departmental working and records are being brought online.
A special app is designed for maintaining record and to keep check-and-balance on attendance and working of in house and field staff. He said that under this important project, a total of 350 tablets have been distributed in 36 districts of Punjab. Tablets have been given to District Officers, Tehsil Officers and Family Health Clinic In-charges in each district.
He directed the whole employees of the department to understand their duty and show full responsibility as we take salary from the government for our work. There is no room for laxity in the matter of population growth, he added. Addressing the participants, Director General Population Welfare Saman Rai said that the department is taking steps to improve the presence and representation of its workers in the field and make their identity clear.
Population control is being addressed at the international level. We are also trying to tackle the challenges related to them. We have to work together to highlight the working of Punjab at the global level. At the end, tablets were distributed. Director General Population Welfare Saman Rai presented the shield of honor to Special Assistant Chief Minister Punjab for Population Welfare Taimur Ali Lali.
