Lahore: The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced a partial modification to the syllabus for the recruitment of Medical Officers (BS-17), affecting the question paper structure for the upcoming examinations.
According to Public Service Commission Punjab, the recent changes involve the removal of the 20% General Ability component previously included in the examination syllabus. The revised format will now solely comprise 100% Qualification Related Questions, focusing entirely on professional knowledge and skills pertinent to the medical field. This adjustment follows feedback and a decision by the competent authority to better align the assessment process with the specific qualifications required for the role.
The PPSC initially advertised these positions in the ‘Dawn’ and ‘Jang’ newspapers on July 10, 2024, under Advertisement No. 13/2024, aiming to fill 900 vacancies which include designated quotas for special persons and minorities.
All other conditions and eligibility criteria for candidates as specified in the initial advertisement remain unchanged.
