Punjab Public Service Commission Modifies Recruitment Exam Format for Population Welfare Department

Lahore: The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced a significant change to the examination format for upcoming recruitments within the Population Welfare Department. The adjustment specifically affects the structure of the question paper for positions advertised in late July.

According to Public Service Commission Punjab, the exams for 55 contractual positions—including Instructors and various medical and directorial roles—will now focus entirely on qualification-related questions. The previous format, which included a 20% allocation for General Ability questions, has been completely omitted to better assess specific competencies relevant to the roles. This modification applies to the recruitment notices under Consolidated Advertisement No. 17/2024 for positions published on July 30, 2024, in “Express and The Nation”. All other eligibility conditions for these positions remain unchanged.
