LAHORE: The Punjab Public Service Commission has announced an increase in the number of posts for the upcoming Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2023. The move aims to provide more opportunities for candidates applying for various positions, including those under the Provincial Management Service (PMS) and for the Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO) roles.
According to Public Service Commission Punjab, the recent changes detailed in Letter No. SO (ADMN-lll)S&GAD/2-12/2023 dated November 21, 2024, outline a significant increase in the number of available positions. The number of PMS (Open Merit) posts has been enhanced from an earlier advertised count of 24 to a total of 47, while the Minorities Quota has been increased from 11 to 12. Furthermore, the ETO (Open Merit) posts, which previously had no vacancies, now offer eight positions. This adjustment has resulted in an overall increase in available posts from 43 to 67.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to broaden access to public service roles and to ensure that more candidates have the opportunity to compete for government positions. The increase in posts reflects a commitment to inclusivity and diversity within the public sector.
