LAHORE: The Punjab Public Service Commission has announced the recruitment for several key positions in the Punjab Prisons Department, following a recent directive from the department itself. The commission is seeking applicants for five posts of Deputy Superintendent Jail (BS-17), one post of Lady Deputy Superintendent Jail (BS-17), 90 posts of Assistant Superintendent Jail (BS-16) which include four reserved for minority quotas, and four posts of Lady Assistant Superintendent Jail (BS-16).

These positions will be filled on a regular basis, and the announcement supersedes previous corrigenda related to Advertisement No. 22/2025, which was initially published on June 5, 2025, in local newspapers “Express” and “The Nation.”

In line with the Punjab Civil Servants (Recruitment and Relaxation in Upper Age Limit) Rules of 1976, age relaxation will be provided for these roles. Prospective candidates can find these provisions on the “General Instructions to the Candidates” section of the PPSC’s official website.

The commission has set the deadline for online applications to June 24, 2025, by midnight. It has been clarified that all other conditions mentioned in the original advertisement will remain unchanged.
