Lahore: The Punjab Public Service Commission has announced an extension in the age limit for candidates applying to several posts in the Punjab Prisons Department. The decision affects five Deputy Superintendent Jail positions, one Lady Deputy Superintendent Jail post, 90 Assistant Superintendent Jail posts, and four Lady Assistant Superintendent Jail positions.

Previously, the age limit for male candidates applying for Deputy Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent positions was 21 to 30 years. This has now been extended to 35 years. For female candidates, the age limit has been extended from 21 to 30 years to 38 years for the Lady Deputy Superintendent and Lady Assistant Superintendent positions.

In addition to the general age relaxation, candidates already serving in the Government of the Punjab are also eligible for further relaxation based on their service duration.

The application deadline for these positions is set for June 24, 2025. The announcement follows Advertisement No. 22/2025, initially published on June 5, 2025, in local newspapers “Express” and “The Nation.”
