Punjab Police’s Successful Operation Against Khawarji Terrorists in Dera Ghazi Khan

Dera Ghazi Khan: Punjab Police, in collaboration with the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Rangers, executed a successful operation against Khawarji terrorists in Dera Ghazi Khan. The operation was prompted by intelligence reports regarding terrorist movements near the border area of Kot Mubarak, a region between Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Upon arrival, the police were met with an armed assault from the terrorists, who used rocket launchers and heavy weaponry. In a swift retaliatory move, the combined forces of police, CTD, and Rangers compelled the terrorists to retreat. Several terrorists were reportedly injured during the encounter.

A comprehensive search and sweep operation is currently underway in the area. The effort is being led by SDPO Taunsa, SHO Wohwa, along with CTD and Rangers teams, to ensure the area is secure.

DPO D.G. Khan, Syed Ali, emphasized the Punjab Police’s commitment to countering terrorism. He highlighted the professionalism and bravery exhibited by the personnel of Punjab Police, CTD, and Rangers during the operation. Ali reiterated the resolve of the Punjab Police to maintain decisive actions against terrorist threats across all fronts.
