Islamabad: The Punjab Police’s “Hamare Phool” project continues to offer essential support for the quick recovery of employees’ children suffering from serious illnesses. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has recently allocated significant funds to assist with their medical expenses, underscoring the department’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel’s families.
According to Punjab Police, under the “Hamare Phool” initiative, children afflicted with conditions like thalassemia and cerebral palsy receive monthly health stipends, and further financial assistance is provided for other medical needs. Recent beneficiaries include Traffic Warden Muhammad Rizwan Shafi, who received Rs. 250,000 for his son’s kidney treatment, and Constable Muhammad Rafiq of Lahore Police, who was granted Rs. 200,000 for his son Abdul Hadi’s medical care. Additional allocations include Rs. 200,000 for Sub-Inspector Ejaz Ahmed’s daughter’s leg surgery, and Rs. 100,000 to Constable Ijaz Rasool Khan for his daughter Anaya Gul’s treatment. Moreover, Constable Ehsan-ul-Haq was given Rs. 250,000 for his son Ahmed Ali’s surgery.
Dr. Anwar also highlighted the broader scope of support being extended to police families, with Rs. 1 billion earmarked this year for the education and welfare of police employees’ children. He reaffirmed the ongoing commitment to ensuring that the children of police personnel receive comprehensive support in health, education, and career development.
