Lahore, September 10, 2023 (PPI-OT): Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met Constable Shahid Jutt, who is recovering quickly from mental illness. Constable Shahid Jutt’s mother and doctor were also present on this occasion at the Central Police Office.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar inquired about the health of Constable Shahid Jutt and about the progress in his ongoing treatment from Constable Shahid Jutt’s Dr. Ali Anjum and his mother. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that people like Constable Shahid deserve humanitarian sympathy instead of ridicule and trolling. Punjab Police has set up tahaffuz centres in all the districts of the province for the help and treatment of such people. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar requested the citizens to help such persons instead of making fun of them and taking them to tahaffuz centers.

Constable Shahid’s doctor, Dr. Ali Anjum requested to avoid social media trolling of people suffering from mental diseases and help them to reach mental health doctors or police Tahaffuz centers for treatment. Shahid Jutt promised with IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar to continue his medicines regularly. In the video message, Shahid Jutt’s mother was also present, who also gave the details of the events that happened with Shahid Jutt’s family due to trolling at social media.
