Punjab Police Uncover RAW-Sponsored Terror Network in Major Sting Operation

Lahore: In a significant development, senior officials from the Punjab Police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) revealed the arrest of six facilitators linked to the Indian intelligence agency “RAW” during a joint press conference at the Central Police Office in Lahore. The officials, including Additional IG Operations Punjab Shahzada Sultan, briefed the media on the thwarted conspiracy and the CTD’s recent operational successes.

The arrests were made as part of “Operation Yalghaar,” an initiative conducted across various districts in Punjab. The CTD’s efforts led to the discovery of a terrorist network allegedly supported by “RAW,” the Indian intelligence agency.

Significant recoveries were reported in Toba Tek Singh, where a large cache of explosives, detonators, and confidential maps was found. In Bahawalpur, authorities apprehended a facilitator receiving funding from Dubai. Two individuals from Bahawalnagar were detained for procuring improvised explosive devices (IEDs) directly from the Indian Border Security Force.

The investigation further unveiled plans targeting a mosque and a railway station in Bahawalpur. Intercepted audio recordings of Indian officers, Major Ravindra Rathore and Inspector Singh, revealed instructions for targeted attacks on sensitive locations in Pakistan.

Among the items seized from the suspects were IEDs, safety fuses, and classified documents. The CTD Punjab reiterated its commitment to countering all conspiracies against Pakistan’s security and announced plans to intensify operations against anti-state elements.
