Rahim Yar Khan: Punjab Police have launched a targeted operation against a notorious gang of dacoits in the Kacha area of Rahim Yar Khan. The operation, focused on the Lathani Gang, resulted in the injury of several members, including key figures Dil Murad Lathani, Modi Lathani, and Farooq Lathani.

The intelligence-based action took place near the riverine island Chakr Boot, where the Rahim Yar Khan Police targeted and destroyed the hideouts of the dacoits. A spokesperson for Punjab Police confirmed that the operation led to significant disruptions to the gang’s activities.

District Police Officer Irfan Ali Samo stated that the police used modern weaponry to conduct the assault, which has temporarily incapacitated several members of the Lathani Gang. He emphasized the ongoing nature of these operations, indicating that the police will continue their efforts until the gang is completely dismantled.

The operation is part of a broader strategy by Punjab Police to combat organized crime in the region, focusing on intelligence-driven initiatives to dismantle criminal networks effectively.
