RAJANPUR: Punjab Police successfully rescued five kidnapped citizens during an operation in the Kacha Circle Bangla Achha area. The police engaged in an encounter with robbers who had abducted the citizens and were attempting to move them to a hideout.
The police spokesperson detailed that the robbers were intercepted by Rajanpur Police, leading to a confrontation that involved heavy gunfire. In the midst of the operation, the robbers sought refuge in a sugarcane field. Despite this, the police managed to arrest seven individuals who were facilitating the robbers.
DPO Rajanpur noted that while the robbers escaped due to the dense sugarcane crop, efforts to locate and apprehend them continue. The operation was praised by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, who commended the officers and personnel involved for their role in the safe recovery of the abducted citizens.
