Punjab Police Promotes 172 Sub-Inspectors to Inspectors

Lahore, The Punjab Police, led by Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, has promoted 172 sub-inspectors to the rank of inspectors in a recent drive to bolster its leadership ranks.

According to Punjab Police, the promotions were part of a departmental process overseen by Additional IG Establishment Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry and a board comprising senior officers. The meeting evaluated the qualifications of over 400 sub-inspectors across Punjab, culminating in the elevation of 172 officers based on merit and adherence to rules.

The promotion exercise, which saw significant representation from various regions within Punjab, is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the force’s operational capabilities and acknowledge the service of its personnel. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commended the newly promoted inspectors, urging them to fulfill their responsibilities with increased dedication. This move aligns with a broader policy of rewarding competence and experience within the department, with over 20,000 officers and personnel promoted during Dr. Anwar’s tenure, signaling a commitment to meritocracy and professional growth.
