Karachi, The Alhamra Art Gallery became a canvas for the creative expressions of Punjab Police officers at the Punjab Police Art Exhibition 2023. The exhibition, inaugurated by Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and National College of Arts Principal Dr. Murtaza Jafari, showcased an array of fascinating artworks created by the talented lady constables, Traffic Police, and Dolphin Squad of Punjab Police.

According to Punjab Police, the exhibition featured a variety of artworks including captivating calligraphy of Quranic verses, landscapes, cityscapes, as well as modern and abstract art. This event marks a significant moment, highlighting the diverse talents of the police officers beyond their regular duties.

Dr. Usman Anwar, speaking at the exhibition, emphasized the importance of arts in reflecting a person’s beautiful personality and constructive thinking. He commended the officers for honing their skills in artistic fields alongside their policing duties, noting that such extracurricular activities are encouraged during the Lady Recruit Course of Punjab Police. He reaffirmed the department’s commitment to continue encouraging officers with artistic talents, recognizing them as valuable assets to the force.

The exhibition showcased artworks by 16 talented lady constables, members of the Traffic Police, and Dolphin Squad. The display of over 58 artworks with decorative themes attracted considerable attention and admiration from the attendees. Kashif Anwar, President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce, and Dr. Murtaza Jafari, Principal of the National College of Arts, were present as chief guests and expressed their appreciation for the artworks created by the lady officers.

Dr. Usman Anwar encouraged the lady constables who created the artworks by distributing certificates of appreciation. The event was also attended by prominent figures such as DIG Operations Lahore, Ali Nasir Rizvi, SSP Operations Lahore Syed Ali Raza, CTO Lahore Amara Athar, and other senior police officers.

The Punjab Police Art Exhibition 2023 at the Alhamra Art Gallery not only served as a platform for police officers to display their artistic abilities but also helped in fostering a positive and multi-dimensional image of the police force in the public eye.
