Punjab Police Neutralize Key Suspect in Kacha Machhka Attack; Honor Fallen Officers

Lahore: In a decisive response to a recent attack, Punjab Police have successfully neutralized Bashir Shar, a principal suspect, and severely injured five of his accomplices in the Kacha area, signaling a major breakthrough in the fight against local criminal elements.

According to Punjab Police, the counter-operation was launched following an assault that tragically resulted in the deaths of twelve police officers, with several more wounded. The operation not only led to the elimination of Bashir Shar but also saw significant injuries inflicted upon his group, including known associates Sanaullah Shar, Gada Ali, Kamloo Shar, Ramzan Shar, and Gadi. Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, confirmed ongoing efforts to apprehend remaining suspects, underlining the force’s commitment to maintaining law and order and bringing all culprits to justice.

The morale of the force remains high despite recent events, with Dr. Anwar emphasizing that such incidents would not deter the police from their duty to safeguard the nation. The funeral for the slain officers was held at Sadiq Shaheed Police Lines, attended by high-ranking officials and family members, reflecting the community’s profound loss and respect for the fallen.
