Punjab Police Launches Health Welfare Initiative for Personnel and Families

Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is prioritizing the health welfare of police employees and their families through a comprehensive initiative. Under the “Hamaray Phoo Project,” the Welfare Branch of Punjab Police is dedicated to providing extensive medical support to police personnel and their dependents. This effort includes regular and specialized medical assistance, particularly for serious health issues.

According to Punjab Police, additional funds have been allocated to support police personnel facing significant health challenges. These allocations have been reviewed and approved by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. Among the beneficiaries, ASI Muzammil Hussain has received 250,000 rupees for his wife’s medical treatment, and ASI Amir Bilal has been granted 150,000 rupees for his wife’s breast cancer treatment. Similarly, Head Constable Mohammad Adil has been awarded 150,000 rupees for his wife’s tumor treatment. Other recipients include PHP Constable Zafar Khan, who has received 125,000 rupees, and Constables Waris Ali and Mirza Akhtar Rafiq, who have been granted 100,000 rupees each for their treatments. Additionally, ASI Shahid Manzoor, Head Constable Hamad Rehman, Senior Clerk Tahir Riaz, and Head Constable Raja Zafar Ullah Khan have all received support totaling nearly 200,000 rupees for their medical expenses.

Dr. Anwar emphasized the importance of health welfare for police personnel, asserting that ongoing and future support will be provided. He has instructed Regional and District Police Officers to expedite health welfare measures for their teams, ensuring that the initiative’s benefits reach all personnel effectively.
