Lahore: Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz are actively engaged in providing digital services to citizens under the supervision of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. These centers offer over a dozen police services to millions of citizens each month across the province, including in Lahore.
According to Punjab Police, during the current year, more than 2.07 million citizens have utilized various policing services from these centers. The services include issuing 583,000 character certificates, conducting general police verifications for 916,000 citizens, and performing police verifications for 4,269 private employees. Additionally, over 166,000 tenancy agreements were registered, and more than 23,000 vehicle verifications were completed. Medico-legal certificates were provided to 131,000 citizens, over 66,000 individuals reported lost documents, and 4,869 crime reports were registered. Copies of FIRs were obtained by over 92,000 citizens, and 211 women’s violence reports were filed. Legal and social protection was extended to over 80,000 vulnerable individuals, and 1,603 citizens completed employee registration under the ROPE initiative.
Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar highlighted the Police Khidmat Marakaz as a significant project for public service delivery and stressed the importance of upgrading the centers based on citizen feedback. He instructed Regional Police Officers (RPOs) and District Police Officers (DPOs) to conduct surprise visits to Khidmat Marakaz and other police offices to enhance and streamline service delivery to citizens.
