Punjab Police Invests Over 43 Crores in Force’s Health Welfare


Lahore, In a significant commitment to the health and welfare of its personnel, the Punjab Police has allocated over 43 crores and 06 lakhs rupees this year for the medical treatment and welfare of its force and their families. This initiative underscores a comprehensive approach to support the force’s members facing health challenges, ensuring that they and their loved ones receive necessary medical care.



According to Punjab Police, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has been at the forefront of this welfare drive, with more than 20 lakh rupees specifically disbursed to officials from various districts, including Lahore, for the treatment of their and their children’s ailments. Highlighting individual cases, the force provided significant financial aid for treatments ranging from cancer to heart problems and hearing treatments among the families of the police personnel.



For instance, Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Faisal Awan from Faisalabad received 12 lakh rupees for cancer treatment, while Constable Muhammad Ashraf of Pakpattan was given 03 lakh rupees for his daughter’s heart treatment. Similarly, funds were allocated to several other officials for critical health issues faced by their families, demonstrating the department’s dedication to the welfare of its members on a personal level.



Dr. Usman Anwar has directed the continuation of these health welfare measures, emphasizing the importance of standing by police employees and their families during health crises. “The police force is my family, and we will not leave an officer or his loved ones alone in the fight against diseases,” stated IGP Punjab, reflecting a commitment to the holistic well-being of the force members.



This initiative not only aids in alleviating the financial burden associated with healthcare but also boosts the morale of the force, knowing that their welfare is a priority for the administration.
