Lahore: Punjab Police have intensified their search, sweep, and combing operations across the province, including in the city of Lahore. In a sweeping crackdown over the last 24 hours, authorities conducted 446 operations, checking over 14,700 suspects. This effort resulted in the detention of 31 suspicious individuals.

The Punjab Police spokesperson provided further details, stating that 189 proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes were apprehended. Additionally, 118 court absconders and 128 habitual criminals were also taken into custody.

The operations led to the recovery of drugs, illegal weapons, and ammunition. In efforts to counter criminal elements, six criminals were neutralized, six were injured, and eight others were arrested.

IG Punjab emphasized that these operations will continue throughout Muharram, aiming to hold anti-state and criminal elements accountable.
