Punjab Police IG Honors Organized Crime Unit for Exceptional Performance


Lahore, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, celebrated the achievements of the Organized Crime Unit by awarding certificates of appreciation to 43 officers for their exceptional work in addressing serious crimes across the province.



According to Punjab Police, the ceremony highlighted the unit’s role in tackling high-profile criminal activities such as armed robberies and drug trafficking. DSP Mian Qadeer Ahmad and his team were specifically recognized for dismantling the notorious Imran alias Chota Rana Abro gang, among other successful operations. IG Punjab emphasized the use of modern technology and investigative skills in crime fighting and reiterated the department’s commitment to acknowledging and rewarding outstanding police work.
